Current Research & Development Activities

 

IT-CMF:

IVI research and development work is on-going around the IT-CMF. As part of this R+D effort we are continually looking out for members to join the various workgroups associated with each CP / R+D activity. If you'd like to get involved and help define and shape the IT-CMF going forward you can do so by contacting the lead researcher for the respective critical capabilities.

Sinead Murnane - Responsible for Supplier Management, Relationship Asset Management, Capacity Forecasting and Planning and Innovation Management

Eibhlin Ni Oisin - Responsible for Sourcing, Organization Design and Planning, User Training Management and Knowledge Asset Management

Eileen Doherty - Responsible for Strategic Planning, Research, Development and Engineering and Technical Infrastructure Management

Dr Eoin Whelan - Responsible for Accounting and Allocation, Funding and Financing and Total Cost of Ownership

Catherine Crowley - Responsible for Benefits Assessment and Realization, Demand and Supply Management and Budget Oversight and Performance Analysis

Gerry Conway - Responsible for Business Process Management, Sustainable Information and Communication Technology and Enterprise Architecture Management

Cloud Computing:

This project is looking at the decision process organization's need to go through when assessing their readiness for adopting a sutable cloud solution. This project is being run in partnership with a number of our member organizations. If you'd like to get involved you can do so by contacting Gerry Conway (the lead researcher).

 

E-Skills and IT Professionalism:

Issued by the European Commission Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, the objective of this contract is to support the development of:

  • A European Framework for ICT Professionalism with the goal of enhancing ICT professionalism and mobility across Europe.
  • A European Training Programme for ICT managers to promote new competences with a view to better address the challenges of ICT driven innovation and the future internet.

The target groups are ICT practitioners and ICT managers (Chief Information Officers (CIO) or their equivalent in smaller enterprises).
